Technical data

Racket test from the 100 series on video

The video runs the Astrox 100 ZZ against the 99 Pro and not the Tour.

Tour or ZZ?

Both are head-heavy, extra stiff and sit at 4U. They differ in frame material and in length.

• Astrox 100 ZZ: very direct feedback, demands clean contact.
• Astrox 100 Tour: 10 mm longer, more reach and leverage on the smash.

The ZZ rewards clean hitting. The Tour gives you reach when you finish on the move. If your technique is still maturing, buy the Tour.

Why this racket?

• Head-Heavy Balance: More pressure from the backcourt, steeper angles for smashes and clears.
• Extra stiff shaft: Direct energy transfer, crisp impact feedback, precise placement.
• 10 mm longer: A little more reach and leverage for powerful, steep shots.
• 84 g (4U): Stable, tour-ready weight for hard hits without unstable handling.
• Rotational Generator System: Balanced mass distribution for faster recovery after impact.

Gameplay & Target Audience

If your game is based on pressure, pace, and hard winners , the Yonex Astrox 100 Tour provides the perfect tool: head-heavy for power from the backcourt, extra stiff for direct control. Ideal for singles and attacking doubles when you want to actively dominate rallies.

Stringing: you choose the string

To get the most out of the racket, a good string job matters. We offer a wide choice of string types and colours and string the racket before it ships, so it arrives ready to play. You can even upload your own logo for the string bed.

In the video we go through the differences between the string types in detail.

The Yonex Astrox 100 Tour is head-heavy and built for an attacking game. See all models in our racket overview, comparable models under attacking rackets and the full range under Yonex rackets.
